This year’s Midsummer Fish Festival will take place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2019
Enjoy a variety of delicious summer fish dishes from local restaurants along with a range of the best produce the area has to offer. Locally made wine will also be available, as well as a beer festival, and the fishermen will be showcasing their skills and their catch.
Learn fish cookery skills from Hastings Fish Ambassador, CJ Jackson from Billingsgate Seafood School; take part in a cuttlefish ink printing session; listen to some great live music, all within a stone’s throw of the beach.
The Midsummer Fish Fest started in 2014 and has proved a hugely popular event, now in its fourth year. Originally it was funded by the European Fisheries Fund, through the Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG), but that funding has now ended.
To allow the festival to continue, there is a small entrance charge of £1.50 in advance or £3 on the gate, for the whole weekend (under 18s go free). Tickets available from the Hastings Tourist Information Centre, Breeds Place, Hastings seafront.
